Everyone will admit the Dominion is just now entering an era when cement will play a paramount part in the development of the country.
Hydro-electric works, concrete roads, renewal of wooden bridges, harbour works, public and business buildings, etc., etc. In addition, the housing shortage means tremendous building activity during the next ten years.
All this means cement, and yet moro cement.
To copo with this great demand the National Portland Cement Company, Ltd., is now being floated. The works will be on (lie most modern principles, capable of turning out 30,000; tons yearly.
