COUNSELLOR'S COMPLAINT

LONDON, 29th September. _ The 'Morning Post" states that it IB -understood that a Court of Inquiry, under the chairmanship of Lord Blanesburgh (formerly Lord Justice Younger) will sit at the Foreign Office shortly to inquire into a complaint as to his treatment made by Walter Annesley Stewart Counsellor to the British Embassy at Rio de Janeiro since June, 1922. The evidence is likely to be of a remarkable nature.
Mr. Stewart has arrived in London. He alleges that he was removed from his home in Rio de Janeiro by Brazilian policemen and detained 'in an asylum, but eventually was released and allowed to return to England. Sir.John Tilley, British Ambassador at Rio de Janeiro, is en route to London for the purpose of giving evidence The Foreign Office, while declining to give details, saya, unfortunately, it is true that there have .been some incidents in connection with Mr." Stewart and his post. It is added that Sir Maurice ds Bunsen, former Ambassador to several countries, has been invited to sit with Lord Blanesburgh, and it will be in the noture of a disciplinary inquiry.
