PETONE CLUB

The annual meeting of tie Petone Club was also held, recently, Depu+yPresident T. W. Warburton being in the chair, in the unavoidable absence of the president (Mr. W. H. Ballinger). The chairman and other members expressed their gratification at the good results of the past year, and at the bright prospects in view for the new season.

It was decided to intike a donation to the Soldiers' Memorial, Wellington. The classification of members is to be made into two classes for the challenge cups and spoons; the Jackson Challenge Cup tto be competed for by members under 21 years of uge; the series competitions to be open club shoots. Service shooting is to receive considerable attention this season, marking fees reduced slightly to seniors. It was resolved to support a proposal for confining shooting to one range each Saturday, with two separate shoots of ten rounds; this, however, to apply to the long ranges, 800, 800, and 1000 yards only. : '
