SUBURBS CLUB
The Suburbs Defence Rifle Club held its annual general meeting recently, President W. G. Fellingharn being in the chair. Various important mutters were placed before the members for consideration, and were fully discussed.
The secretary's - annual report mdi- j cated that the dub has retained its reputation as one of the leading shooting combinations in the Dominion. At the National Rifle Association meeting at Trentham three members (H. B. Hunt, R. E. Heater, and J. Smart) finished well up in the King's Fifty. The club's first team were runners-up in each of the three champion teams' matches. After a rather keen competition, H. R. Hunt secured the club championship. - The club's bank balance, continued the report, was fairly low, but it would be considerably improved this year. This season's shooting will commence at Trentham on Saturday, 4th October. Puring the evening it was announced that two members of ths club (Messrs. H. R. Hunt and A. H. Symonds) intended competing at the New South Wales Rifle Association meeting, which takes place shortly. Those members appointed to attend to the administration of the club wera heartily commended upon their splendid work.
