TRAGEDY OF ASSYRIAN CHRISTIANS
T)r. M. G. Daniel, a world-wide traveller, lecturer, and preacher, and a student nf the religious histories of different nationalities ami countries, 'is at present in Wellington. Fur the past thirty years, Dr. Daniel has been a missionary m Kuidcstan and l'orsia. and three times ho Was an eye-witness of massacres by the Mohammedans. •In the last massacre he lost sixty-five of his doso relatives, including three of his own children. ' Dr. Daniel, who is officially recommended by the Britisli, French, and American public bodies, as 'well as by all Churches, is arranging for lecture's to be given in all evangelical churches, and the pitiful .story of the martyred Christians should make an appeal to all hearts. A fine collection of lantern slides will also lie shown. Dr. Danieh who is slaying at the People's Palace' prior to taking up mission work in the Near East, will gratefully receive contributions- of money and dothing for the relief of sufferers.
