J. C. WILLIAMSON'S ENTERTAINERS.

To-nighb, at the Grand Opera House, will be seen the first appearance hero of the J. C. Williamson World-famed Entertainers. Tho ■ firm has been tho recognised standard, for tho best in musical comedy, opera, and drama, and now in this new avenue of amusement their agents in different parts of the world have selected only the "top-, hoteliers." The new company opening to-night is headed by the famous English character impersonator, Bransby Williams, whose Dickens characterisations have made his name a household word throughout the British Isles for many years. Brausby Williams in such well-known roles as Micawber, Grandpapa Snialhyccd; Bill Sikes, Dan'l Peg-.' goty, David Copperfield, etc., has indeared himself to theatre-goers throughout the world. Supporting .thu star are tho seven Tladjo, Kadir troupe of Arabs, whose act in Australia was recognised as outrivalling tho sensational turn provided by Long Tack Sam. A famous Frojydh tfimedy duo are Anna and Louis, whosn act, an eccentric musical mix-up, is said to be the "limit of absurdity." The character dame and the girl, Arthur Lucan and Kitty M'Shanc. stage a riotous scena, "Come Over." Modern dancers, with a difference, describes Solange I.andry and Julls, who do a bright routine of* English, modern, and French dances. An English act of musical comedy is that of Ward and. Long. A raconteur of originality is W. V. Robinson, who tells his yarns entirely different. The harpist and melody supreme is the act of George Castles and Torallo. A special orchestra is under the baton of Harry Jacobs. The scenery and effects will be on tho usual lavish Williamson scale. The box plan for to-night's performance is at the Grand Opera House Confectionery, where early door tickets are also obtainable.
