TIVOLI THEATRE.

. The popular- Tivoli Theatre is a I rendezvous for "ladies only" this after- j noon and to-night and during-next-week, for there is in progress there a mannequin display of particular interest to the gentler sex. Messrs. Kirkcaldie and Stains, in conjunction with the management, are making a ravishing display, with special lighting effects, of intimate wear, and the models are a delight to look at in shimmering boudoir wraps, corsets, peignoirs, and the like,. With the approach of summer, one's thoughts turn to the beach and what to wear. In the "Sybil" and "Pamela" designs are combined beauty and utility. They are all-wool bathing costumes. One in emerald and gold is two-piece, and is worn under a chic bathing cape in gold, white, and pongee striped Turkish towelling. A model in saxe blue has a trimming of black and white, ancl '3 in one piece. The vogue for pyjamas is utterly satisfied in the confections shown, in blue and heliotrope floral crepon, jumper style and hemstitched, also in fugi silk. A dressing gown in flesh pink satin beaute, with bVick stitching on collar and sleeves, is a restful, dainty affair. A kimono in. gobelin blue wool-back satin has a niching of satin ribbon to match, and a dressing gown is carried out in lilac zenana cloth. The name "Pamela" characterises a dainty French lingerie set in mauve crepe do chine. Scarlet satin beaute gives an original note to the "Pepita" dressing gown, relieved with old gold tinsel roso trimming 011 collar ami sleeves. Figured satin inarocain in French blue makes another charming dressing 'gown,- in cross-over style with perky bow and ends. The lining of flesh pink crepe do chine, and the boudoir cap of net and ruched China satin, with rosettes of ' pink and rose satin ribbon, makes a ravishing combination of delicate shades. Another attractive model is in shrimp pink crepe de chine banded with flame. "Mignon" is eminently suitable to a boudoir wrap in geranium crepe de chine, trimmed with .white marabout. There are many other attractive wraps, underskirts, etc.. which are 7' calculated to appeal to the modern woman. To say that the picture part "of the entertainment was bright, brilliant, and interesting to a degree is to state but. bare facts. Gareth Hughes, always clever and clean, scores a real breezy success in his sparkling Metro special, "Don't Write Letters," a photoplay that cannot fail to please. A delightful "Pathe Review," a quaint cartoon, "Pathe's News," and a, smart fun farce completed a most enjoyable list, which the incidental music by the Tivoli Orchestra; made even more enjoyable still. Box plans are at The Bristol. .
