HOMING PIGEONS
The Petone Homing Club held its weekly race from Huuterville on Saturday last. Fair line distance was 97 miles, and 88 birds from 10 lofts competed. Following were the results:— W. Kydd's Red Ohq hen, 261, 1922, .flying time 2lir 37min 3sec, velocity 1102 yards per minute, 1; J Bollon's blue cq., cock, 45, 1922, 2hr 39min 52sec, 1082, 2 ; Saglos Bros.' blue chq hen 867, -923, 2br 39min 30sec, 1080.2, 3; J. Ashton's blue chq. enck, 974 1923 2hr 40min 6sec, 1080, .4; C. Gnddard's' blue chq. cock, 441, 1920, 21u- 41min 28sec, 1075,' 5. Next week's event will be an interval race, to be flown from Hastings.
