INTERDEPENDENT
WORKERS AND SOCIETY
MR. MACDONALD ON SOCIALISM.
(AUSTRALIAN-SEW-' ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received 11th September, 1.30 p.m.) ... LONDON, 10th September. In aii introduction to a book on Socialism, Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald writes: "It is good that workmen should not tolerate unjusb industrial conditions; but in struggling to obtain their end they, should, not forget that they are/interdependent members of society, and that by injuring society they are injuring, themselves. Doles," 'Poplarism,' strikes, 'and limitation of output" are not Socialism.. Socialists look with misgiving upon recent developments in industrial conflicts which are contrary to the spirit,of Socialism, immoral, and'uneconomic, and will lead to disaster."
