HUTT B v. PETONE.

There was little difference between the Hutt B and Petone teams, which met at Hutt Park. Although the Hutt E eleven emerged, the victors by 2 goals to 1, a. drawn game would have been a better representation of the trend of play. Hutt B were quicker than their .opponents in making use of openings presented. Considering the state of the ground the exhibition given was good. There were occasions when the two teams brightened play by some good passing rushes, which, with a little more finish, to the movements, would have produced goals. Barry and Upton scored goals for Hutt, and Lyster scored for Petone.

Mr. Watchman carried the whistle.
