DOMERGUE FAVOURITE

HIS CHANCES MUCH IMPEOVED.

(REUTBR'S TELEGRAM.) ■ (Received 13th June, noon.)

PARIS, 12th June. M. Painleve s supporters had reckoned that he would obtain practically a unanimous endorsement, and the voting means a severe blow to his hopes, as M. Domergue can count on the support of the moderate elements in both Chambers which were not represented at the meeting. M. Domergue is therefore favourite in the race for the Presidency.
