LEAGUE FOOTBALL

ENGLAND DEFEATED IN SECOND TEST.

(UNITED PRESS AiiSOCIATION.j-COPIRIQHT.)

SYDNEY, 9th June. Playing in dull, cold weather, and after an inauspicious start, the New South Wales Rugby league team reversed Saturday's defeat in the presence of 5(^000 people. The Englishmen, again within a few minutes from the start, scored, registering eight points before New South Wales broke the ice, but after this the Blues took command and led at halftime by 15 points to 8. The home team pressed its advantage in the second half, forcing the game. Play on both sides was very rough, and much faster and more spectacular than on Saturday. New South Wales ran away from the visitors at one stage, leading by 33 points to 8. The final scores were: New South Wales, 33; England, 18.

England won the first Test by 10 points to 5.
