Eight started. Quiniro led all the _ny and won by four lengths. Time dimn 41sec.

Ten started. Chrysostom and Carawock led over the first jump, where Les laddington lost his rider. Chrysostom soon established a good lead from Carawock and Grand Urchin. Later on Carawock again joined the leader, and Palbi displaced Grand Urchin. A faulty jump by Carawock'gave Chrysostom a two lengths' lead over the last hurdle, and going on lie won easily by four lengths in record time for 'the course:— 6min 24|sec.
