LONDON, 3rd June. At Edgtaston, the Davis Cup matches between England and Spain were delayed at the start by heavy ram. In the-doubles^,!;. A. Godfree and Max Woosnani (Britain) beat M. Alonzo- and E. Flaquer (Spain), 6-1, 6-4, 6-8, 6-2.
Britain won one of the singles games and Spain the other, and, with' the doubles, Britain now leads, 2-1.
