(REUTER'S TELEGRAM.) . . DUBLIN, 2nd June. The Davis Cup contest between France and Ireland was continued to-day. In the doubles, Rene Lacoste and Coutieas (Trance) beat L. A. Meldon and Dillon (Ireland), 8-6, 6-1, 6-2.

By winning the doubles, France .takes the series, as the first two singles matches were won by the same country, Coutieas beating Dr. E. D. M'Crea, 6-3, 8-6, 3-6, 4-6, 7-5, and Lacoste beating Dillon, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. France' will now meet India in the third round. ■
