LONDON^, Btlr May.:-: It is understood that Cabinet has reached a decision in regard to Empire wireless, but the time and method ofannouncing the decision have been left to Cabinet's Wireless Committee. It is understood that the deciison adopts the main lines; of the Donald Report. The Government has issued the report to the Committee appointed to consider the claims of professional ex-ranker pffi cers_ to he treated on the same- footing as if given permanent commissions, although . only given temporary commig sions: It concludes that a claim has not been made_ out, but fully appreciates tho hardships and value of' the services ot: claimants,".but these are not such -as to justify now the revising of the conditions whereon they served. It recommends the Government, however, to appeal to. the employers' sympathies to consider the claims of ex-officers suitable for employment, and recommends that ex-rankers -who failed to qualify for soldiers' pension be allowed to submit claims to the War Office.
