The Gover-nor-General, accompanied by Commodore Beale, of tho Chatham, was received on board with due' ceremony by a parade of Royal Marines and the ship's band, and in a brief speech congratulated .the Chatham men, the runners-up, and other

competitors, .handing the cup to the coxswain of the ,Ch3tiiam. crew, and presenting each member with the Frobisher .medal. ; ■ . : The donor, Mr. J.
