UPPER HUTT TOWN BOARD
The fortnightly meeting of the Upper Hutt Town Board was held last Wednesday night, when various '-matters in connection with the proposed sewage scheme were considered. , Tho chairman stated that tho necessary preliminaries were now complete, and it was proposed to tall a public meeting at an early date, and to invite the board's engineer to attend and explain, the proposal to'the ratepayers. The exceptional amount of heavy traffic which, owing to the stoppage of the railways, has bean passing through the town district" recently, has had a very serious-effect ;on the main road, and it has been found necessary to employ extra labour to repair the damage.
