The annual report showed that the school had reached a total of 953, the highest attendance, being . 864-:- The playgrounds had at last been repaired, and a sand-pit had' been, established from school funds, much to the delight of.. the small children. The committee had been pleased to note that applications • for grants to regrade the site of' the proposed western school, and for the purchase of a site for the eastern school had been forwarded to the Department by the board. The report was adopted, together with the balance-sheet, which showed-a credit of £46 4s Bd^ The -old committee was re-elected without, opposition as follows :—Messrs. J. W. Salmon, A. Ross,,'J. H. Gilchrist.A. Priddle, Mrs. E. J. Webb, and Mrs' M. A. Wright. The committee was empowered to fill vacancies.,; .'. . .
