Commenting on the high exchange rates between Australia and England, the "Yorkshire Post" says it is suggested that an effective remedy would be for some important English banking combinations to open branches in Australia.'and enter into competition with the ring of colonial bankers. It j" s done in other parts of the world : why not in Australia ?*
