BELIEVED TO HAIL FROM TAURANGA.

TAURANGA, This Day. In connection with a recent Brisbane cable that a body and the wreckage of a launch had been found at Humpy Island, it is believed that O'Neill was a former '• resident of Tauranga. He bought the launch from a local resident. The.small craft ,was originally built for a mullet boat.' He expressed his intention of taking a cruise, in Queensland waters."

On 10th April a cable message was received from Brisbane stating that a body and the wreckage of a yacht had been discovered on a beach at Humpy Island it is believed that the yacht was struck by lightning during a-storm last Wednesday night. Among- the- wreckage was . the lid of a trunk-bearing' the words, "O'Neill, 'Auckland,- . New Zealand." The owner of the vessel was evidently interested in photography, as ' a number of unused films were also found.
