VICTIM AN AUCKLAND MAN.

AUCKLAND, This Day. The victim of the yachting fatality on the North Queensland coast, recently reported by cable, is believed to be Mr. Edward FitzJames O'Neill, a man cf independent means, who during the pasttwo' years cruised extensively in the Hauraki Gulf. He left for Brisbane in October last,, accompanied by Mr. Boucher, of Russell, who, owing to sickness, Jate'r returned home. O'Neill was the son of Captain Herman O'Neill, Royal Dublin Fusiliers, and grandson of the Hon. James O'Neill, a member of the first" House 6f Representatives in New Zealand. His mother resides in Auckland.
