MEALS FOR COUNTRY CHILDREN
The committee m charge of the visit ,of the children to view the battleships estimate that at least 35.000 children will bo marshalled alongside . these ships, and consider that approximately that number of adults, mostly from the country, will also bo on the wharves. As only ths country children arc to .be provided with a meal, the committee are endeavouring to arrange for some catering in rho Pipitea shad; and advertise in tin? issue for tenders to supply light refreshments. - This should prove of immenEe benefit to_ a great many people who would otherwise have to do without a meal, or vraets i the time going iato the,town.'
