The > Brussels correspondent of "The Times" says that the feminist movement in Belgium is slowly but surely making headway. Its latestß' triumph came today, when the Chamber of decided by 110 votes to 18 that henceforth women may be app&inted as judges in the Commercial Courts. Belgian women are already eligible for membershit) of the Chamber and the Senate, though they are not allowed to take part in the elections of those assemblies, their electoral rights only extending to municipal bodies.
