LODGE MEETINGS

At the meeting iof Court Epurii, No. 7714, the Woodwards reported two members declaring on the- sick fund and two off, leaving thirteen members still on the fund. One maternity claim was passed for payment, together with the usual quarterly accounts. _One new •member was initiated into the order. C.R. Bro. Thompson and Bro. A. Greenfield were elected delegates to the Cony» bine'drU.F.S.. ball committee. -It was resolved that the annual social reunion be held in May, 1924, and Bros. J. Leadbeater, L. Parrant, • I. Thompson, and' F. Greenfield were appointed a committee to make preliminary arrangement's; Bro. H. M'Leod was appointed' delegate to make arrangements for the coining card tournaments. The secretary read the report and balancesheet which was* received and adopted, and which showed the court to be in a sound financial position. Court Excelsior (Juvenile Foresters) held its fortnightly meeting in the Orange Hall. There was a good attendance of members. • After the usual business games w.eTe indulged in. Lodge Sir William' Parkinson, No. 9, R.A.0.8., N.Z.0., held its- meeting this week. There was a large attendance of members and visitors. After business of the lodge'1 had been disposed of, the meeting went into harmony, items being supplied by Bros. Harris, Grey, Morgan,: Rosenberg, Patterson, and othors. sßro. Morris officiated as minstrel. The election of monthly officers took place, and Bro. M'Clelapd, C.P., was elected P.P. for April, and appointed the following officers to assist him : A-.8., Bro.
