(SYDNEY SUN CAJI.E.)
(Received 19th March, 11 a.m.)
LONDON, 18th March.
Dr. Spahlinger, accompanied by Sir James Allen, interviewed Sir George Newman, chief medical officer of ; the Ministry of Health, and discussed suggestions whereby they might help Dr.. Spahlinger financially to ensure a continued production of the serum. Dr. Spahlinger hap not yet accepted, but Sir James Allen is hopeful of a satisfactory arrangement.
"When I -was Defence Minister," said Sir James, "I saw so much tuberculosis that I decided to help along any possible cure. I am anxious that New Zealand should be freed from tuberculosis. If we could also tell the world that our cattle were free from tuberculosis, the effect upon the dairy industry would be tremendous."
