CONSTANTINOPLE, 17th March.
An unconfirmed report transmitted from Adana reports serious conflicts between the French troops and >an armed band on the Syrian frontier. After tho first engagement the French were forced to retreat, leaving 100 dead, besides a quantity of ammunition and some prisoners.
The attackers pursued the French, whom they re-engaged. The result is unknown.
