PLUNKET SOCIETY
The Plunket Society's fete, which was held in the Provincial Hall on Saturday, was a great success. Friends of the society responded liberally to the call for contributions. All the stalls were attractive and fully stocked with saleable goods, and a brisk trade was done.' The takings were about £115. and, the expenses being light, the society will net a substantial amount. The following ladies were in charge of the various stalls :— Work stall: Mesdames Wastney. Allan, Jamieson, Caradus, and Miss Kensington. .Flowers: Misses Field, Evans, and Andrew. Bran pics: Mesdames Farmer, Swan, N. Rout, and Stewart. Cakes: Mrs. Brice and Miss Brice. ProduceMesdames I'hiirazyn, F. F.: Haggitt, Walker, and Snodgrass. Jumble: Mesdames Carrol Havley and K. Saxon. Miss /. nisley.
