PALMERSTON N., This Day. The Hon. C. J. Parr, Minister" of Education and Justice, visited Palmerston North this moruing and received a deputation which sought to have the old school site vested in the borough for a children's playground. The Minister also visited the police station and cells, a request for a new structure having been made; and inspected the new Hokowhitu School.. With reference to the school site, he placed before the deputation details of a scheme under which the Borough Council could acquire the property. As to the police- station, the Minister promised to go into the' matter with the Commissioner of Police and get a report on the present structure to see if there was a case to. go before Parliament next session. In the afternoon the Minister left for Kopane, Rongotea, and F0xt0n......'
