ARTILLERY QUEEN.
In connectien with the Grand Military Tpurnament and Citizens-Soldiers' Pageant, the committee ef the Artillery and Engineers' queen candidate have arranged a series pf flannel dances to take place in the Old Navals' Beatshed on Jerveis quay. The first pf these • dances is tp take place to-morrow evening. It is hoped that, despite the short notice, a large number of friends and supporters will be present. Mrs.. Ashford, the queen candidate, together with her maids of honour, have, expressod their intention of being in attendance. .Tickets may be obtained from any member of the committee or at the door.
