CAMP AT TRENTHAM
INSPECTION BY GENERAL
CHAYTOR.
Majpr-General Sir Edward Chaytor, General Officer Commanding New Zealand Forces, the Mayor (Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P.), Lieutenant-Colonel W. L. H. Burgess,'D.S.O. (Director of Military Training), Major W. I. K. Jennings, D.S.O. (O.C. sth Regimental District), and Lieutenant G. H. Clifton, M.C., A.D.C. to G.0.C., visited Trentham to-day to inspect the Ist Battalion, Wellington Regiment, which is in camp there under the command of LieutenantColonel R. St. J. Beere, D.5.0., and saw the various platoons at work. At the of the inspection, General Chaytor expressed his high satisfaction at the progress made by the men. ■ Instruction is proceeding in accordance with the latest syllabus.
