(A3BIR,UIAN-KEW ZEALAND CABLS ASSOCIATION) 7' WASHINGTON, 26th November: Mr. Coolidge has received a concurrent resolution from both Houses of the Philippine Legislature asking him to include in his message at the opening of Congress, on 3rd December, a recommendation favouring Philippine independence. A note accompanying the resolution, draws attention to the serious situation existing in the islands as a result of the divided responsibility of the administration of domestic affairs, and points out that eight yearß have elapsed since independence was promised. The people are beginning to wonder when the promise will be kept.
