EVANS BAY CLUB
Beautiful weather favoured the Evans Bay Swimming Club on Saturday afternoon, when Mr. A. L. Monteith, M.P., the club's patron, opened the season.
Mr. Monteith wished the club every success in its new year, and said that it was in a good position as far as the finances were concerned, whilst the membership was also strong. The club had a scheme whereby it proposed to erect extended accommodation, but as the City Council had offered no assistance so far the work had been held over. It was hoped to go ahead, however, at ah early date.
