SYDNEY, This Day. Black Scot,, a promising three-year-old, died at Newcastle as a result of inflammation following rupture.
Black Scot, a black colt by Kenilworth—Black Acre, was the property of •Mr. J. :G:'Wood, and as a two-year-old ■won three races out of twelve starts, being in addition dince- second and, three t\ mes, *ir^^^^isJ^ft>?inct!ldea the St. Albans Handicap 'at' IlboneeVal: ley, the Mimosa Stakes at the V.8.0. Meeting, and the Juvenile Stakes at Rosehill. Black Scot ran third in the Manbyrong Plate, afc the V.R.C. Meeting last year,; to Lady Reynard and Sidoma. !
