Tlie last mortgage on the Petone Working Men's Club property has been luted, and the club now possesses an xxnencumbered freehold. To celebrate the event a smoke concert was held at the clubhouse last night, when, officials of the Wellington Working Men's Club were present. The Petone Club is to consider later the erection of more up-to-date premises.
Messrs. J. H. Bethuno and Co. will offer on Wednesday, i-lh December, at 2.30 p.m., at their rooii.s, Featherston street, a leasehold city property in Blair street; also a residence of six rooms, Edge Hill; and a leasehold property, 32, Clifton terrace, with.seven rooms and conveniences.
