THE PRIZE LIST.

Hutt Valley Horticultural Society's The following are the results of . the Summer Show.

For her collection of cut flowers arranged for effect, Mrs: H. W. Kersley i was awarded the R.H.S; silver medal —a . similar award was made to Messrs. '■ Cooper, Ltd., for a collection. of flowers, and Mr. H. J. Poole received a similar honour for his collection of pot plants. R.H.S. bronze medals wera awarded, to : Messrs. Evans and Sawyer for a collection of dianthus allwoodi; Mr. G. Cooper iuc a collection of lupins; Mr. \V .;• iiowbray for a collection of roses, and Mr. M'Millah for a collection of pot plants and cut flowers. Mr. H. J Poole was again successful in winning the perpetual challenge trophy for roses in the open class. Mr. H. Westbury, the only winner, gained the points prize for sweet peas in the open class, while the, similar honour in. the novice class was gained by , Miss Hector.

' In the open decorative class Mrs. F. Tresider was awarded the points prize. • The; judges were as follow :—Boses and carnations, Mr. E. Anstis, Lower Hutt; sweet peas, Mr. C. Trevethick, Lower Hutt; stands, general classes, and decorative work, Mr. Gv A. Chapman; needlework, Mrs. H. W. Barbor; cooking, etc., Mrs. Fairburn. : Mr. E.
