TO-DAY'S PROCEEDINGS.
The sessions of the synod continued this morning at 9.30. The report of the Board of Missions was received. Foreign mission returns showed an income of £932 from the district for the current year, the effort on behalf of Home Missions being reported still incomplete. The proposal to establish a Wellington District Executive Committee, such committee to include in its operations the duties discharged by the various subcommittees at present operating, was carried. Considerable discussion was raised on the question-of the Methodist Church b^ing more adequately represented in the Empire City; and the following resolution was carried: "That this synod strongly deprecates the proposals to build permanent connexional offices in Christchurch, believing that at an early date it will be necessary to remove the offices to the centre at Wellington."
