male lodge of the';Ordsr in the New jurisdiction^was instituted. The attendant ceremonials vere carried out by'the District Deputy Grand Master (Bio. F. N. Lee.P.G.), and a strong suite of officers from District Lodge and the several male lodges in "Wellington. A "number of other members of the Order
■were also present. The foundation members of the new lodge were first initiateH into the Order in regular form. Muritai Lodge, No. 113, was then (instituted by the D.D.G.M., and the charter.; delivered into the custody of the charter members. The newly-created lodge next proceeded to elect officers for the current term, and these were then installed in regular form by the D.D.-G.-M. and suite as follow:-—Bros J C. E. Turner (N:G.), S. F. Fisher (V.G.), "W".' H. Higgins (F. Sec), T." G. Fijasirrunons (R. Sec), N. A. White (treas.), F.Andrews (warden), P. 'Norris Young (conductor), C. D. Miles (R.S.N.G.). W. Availing (L.S.N.G.), J. Bo'gers (R.S.V.G.), A. Oxenham (L.S.V.G.), E. D. Turner (R.S.S.), W. "Wilson (L.S.S.) J. Uartridge (1.G.), and L. Foley (0.G.). Bro. P. Levi, P.G. (Southern Cross' No. 24); of Eastbourne, was also' installed as .first Past Grand of Muritai, Lodge. Congratulatory telegrams were received from the Grand Master (Bro. M. J. Hooper) and the Deputy Grand Master (Bro. R. Cooper), the latter conveying greetings from Auckland lodges. Verbal freezings were also conveyed by the 'resident of' Wellesley Juvenile Lodge, the N^G.'s of other Wellington Lodges (Wildey No. 107, Cleveland No. 13, Zealan- ' dia No. 49, "and Southern Cross No. 24), also by Bro. W. Lester, P.G., of Pioneer Lodge, Dunedin^ and"Bro. Osborn, of Ashburton Lodge. . '. j It was decided that regular meetings would be held first and third Wednesdays, commencing from 21st November, and it was arranged that the newly installed officers should receive their degrees at the District Lodge'next week. The D.D.G.M. congratulated the new lodge on the auspicious commencement made, and gave a short resume of. the history of the order and its objects.
