ARMISTICE DAY
REQUEST FOR SOLEMN SILENCE.
The . Government has . already given public notice of the wish expressed by His Majesty the King that special commemorative services should be held in all churches throughout the Empire on the morning of Armistice Day, Sunday, 11th November.
In a statement to "The Post" to-day, the Acting-Prime Minister (the Hon. Sir Francis Bell) remarked: "The Government trusts that all those who are unable to attend a church on that date will, in accordance with the precedent followed since 1918, observe solemn silence for two minutes at 11 a.m. on that date."
