SYDNEY, This Day. The Progressive Party has nominated Mr. P. P. Abott, formerly Federal member for New England, as the Country Party's candidate for the Senate vacancy. ■ ._ '
If the Country and Labour Parties unite to defeat Mr. Massy Greene on Wednesday, it jb felt that the breach between the Country and the National Parties will be widened in New South Wales, and also in the Commonwealth.
