SOLDIERS' FARMS
REVALUATION QUESTION.
(BY TILBGRAFH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
HAWERA, This Day. ; The executive of the South. Taranaki Returned Soldiers' Association, at a meeting this morning, passed the following resolution in reply to the statement of ffie Acting-Minister of Lands: "That there was no, misconception as to the period allowed in revaluation from which to estimate the productive value of a farm, and notwithstanding the ambiguities of the dates shown on the form, the executive is still of opinion that the particulars of. one year's production can give no informatin of any real value to the District Committee, as compared with the terms suggested by the association. The form itself js misleading, inasmuch as the application is headed, 'To cover a period of 12 months ending 30th June, 1924,' but the wording of the paragraph in the form (which it is stated in the Department's letter accompanying the form must be forwarded on or. before the 28th February, 1924) is as follows: The applicant is requested to state in his own style, under separaate headings, the quantity and value of butter, wool, stock, and other farm produce which he considers he will sell before the 30th Juhe, 1924.'
