PARIS, Ist. October. Count Mattasich, who eloped in 1897 with Princess Louise, daughter of King Leopold n. of Belgium, is dead.
Count Mattasich was a Hungarian nobleman. After the marriage the panwere reduced to poverty, and Princess Louise filially asked her sister, Pxincees Stephanie, the former Crown • Princess of Austria, for help. Princess' Stephanie offered to allow her sister to live the rest of her life (in the beautiful castle of Oroszov, in Austria, but on condi-, tion that she parted from her husband.
