GIUSTINIANI JEWELS
RECOVERED ON ARREST OF
THIEF.

ROME, 30th September. After six weeks' further search, the police arrested the valet of Prince Giustiniani, and recovered the remainder of the Giustiniani jewels. First the police searched for the valet on the Kiviera, but he escaped thence, and was traced to a farmhouse near Turin. The police surrounded the farm at night time, and found the valet asleep, and the jewels in a cupboard, with a large sum of money. The Roman police, who traced the valet to the Riviera, earn Prince Giustiniani's reward, offered for the recovery of £80,000 worth of jewels
The jewels were stolen on 25th July. The Prince's valet was suspected of the crime, which was committed while the Prince and Princess were chloroformed.
