This Day. At the Police Court, Selwyn Haslett, medical practitioner, of Putaruru, ywas charged, with being .drunk while in charge of a motor-car. Defendant pleaded that he had had a very busy, fatiguing time owing to the amount of sickness m the. district. He had taken some brandy, and, later, an injection of morphia sulphate, on: the t day in question. He,was not drunk. The police said defendant drove, his car in a reckless and erratic manner. He was' fined £10.
