HUTT VALLEY

Some sixteen members of the Hutt Valley Club competed in the ladies' bracelet race, held on the- Petone Keci'eation Ground last Saturday, before a good number of spectators. Three separate races were run—a half-mile, a mile, and two miles—points being allotted to the first three men home in each event. In the first i-ace, A. Dome took the lead," closely followed by R. Goddard and J. Dome, with Bowler and Craig, the scratch men, coming up fast About a hundred yards from home the leaders commenced to put on speed, Goddard .(20yds) winning easily from Bowler (scr), with A. ' Dome (30yds) third. The mile was a very interesting race, being well contested at the finish by Kent, Dome, Bowler, and H.urly, the winner being Kent (scr), with A. Dome (55yds) se.cond, Bowler (scr) third, and Hurly (30yds) fourth. 'The two-mile event wa* an excellent race, with a fine finish between A. Dome and R.,Kent, (Kent, (ecr) being the winner, with A. Dome (230 yds) second, Craig (scr) third, and Bowler (20yds) fourth. The winner of the bracelet was R. Kent, with 6 points, A. Dome being second, with s.points, R. Goddard and C. Bowler level for third place, with 3 points.
