ME. J. E. WILSON, S.M.
A Press Association message from Auckland announces the death of Mr J E. Wilson, S.M., after a few days' 'illness. Mr. Wilson, who was 50 yea's of age, spent his early manhood in New Plymouth, and, entering a lawyer's office -m January, 1888, he was admitted ?sc? sol!f tor of the Supreme Court-m 18M7, and as a barrister in 1902 He was Mayor of. New, Plymouth for seVera* yf "• In 'Mbjt, 1918, he was appointed to the Magistracy, and, after carrying out relieving work in various districts, took up the position of Second -Magistrate in. Auckland. In ig^O 'he was appointed Chief Judge of Western Samoa, a post which he held for twelve £• 1021 ' he was Second Magistrate at Auckland and continued to. hold this position 'up to the time of his death.
