NEW YORK, 3rd August. At Seabright (New Jersey) four visiting English women each won the opening play of the invitation singles by means of straight sets. Miss Kathleen M'Kane (British champion) defeated Mrs. Helen Lockhorn,' 6-2, 6-1; Mrs. Gerald Beamish defeated Mrs. Benjamin Cole, 6-1, 8-6; Mrs. B. Covell defeated Miss Helen Hooker, 6-1, 6-1; and Mrs. R. Clayton defeated Miss Ceres Baker, 6-3, 6-3.
