J. Bollard (Minister of Internal Affairs) stated: "A Gaming Bill will be introduced. this year Which will enable the above question to be submitted to the House if it, i s not expressly dealt with in the Bill." ■'.':■ ■ • THE AMUSEMENT TAX. Replying to a request that the amusement tax'should be repealed, the' Prime Minister stated to-day :—As I have already, promised, the amusement tax will be gradually reduced. It will be remembered that a commencement in this respect was made last year. i PUBLIC SERVICE SALARIES. The Governments announced the Prime j Minister to-«-\y, have no intention of asking Parliament for any reduction in the wages and salaries of* State employees, either before or after the proposed I reduction in land and income tax. ,
