NEW ZEALAND MINERS' FEDERA- : TION. The question of whether the Now Zea-land-.Miners' Federation should continue to function or whether a change should be made in the basis of organisation in. favour of distinct. federations or unions or one miners' union for the whole of the Dominion, was, argued out at length' during the recently-concluded conference of twenty-eight. union delegates held in the A.S.R.S. rooms, and the final decision arrived at, it is understood, was that the present organisation, i.e., the federation of unions, should stand.
