QUEEN'S THEATRE.
All who remember "The Sentimental Bloke" and "Ginger Mick" will remember Arthur Tauchert, the star of both productions. Ho appears again on the screen, after some years' absence, in "The Dinkum Bloke," an Australian Paramount picture which. commences at the . Queim's Theatro to-day. Interpreted by a cast of capable players, which includes Lottie Lyell, who was also in "The Sentimental Bloke," it is a powerful drama of Australian life, dealing with a typical Australian who lives in a tiny home in one of the smaller streets of Wooloomooloo. His great joys in life are his wiTe and his little daughter, Peggy. Christmas comes, and Bill Garvin, as Father Christmas, leaves many toys in the little kiddie's stocking. Bill has hardly time to remove his disguise when tho radiantly happy Peggy rushes in with her treasures, amongst which is the story of' "The Prince and the Beggar Maid." This is the basis of "The Dinkum Bloke." Tho old, mythical fairy story with a new meaning, for Peggy is tho beggar maid and Geoffrey Gilder, son of a wealthy station holder, is the prince. The supporting cast, which is all Australian, includes Cecil B. Scott, Beryl Gow, Rene-Sand-man, Jack Raymond, and Dorothy Daye. There will also be shown the latest International News and a clever Century comedy. Delightful 'incidental music by the Queen's Grand Orchestra, undor the direction of Mr. A. 11. Jerome, will greatly enhance the .enjoyment. The box plan is at The Bristol.
